The 500t SEPs sit on rails installed on the shop floor, enabling them to be positioned above silo charge holes; grabs will be lowered by winch into the silo to extract a waste load. The waste will be loaded in a skip also contained and transferred into a flask at one end. A lid will then be slid into position on the underside of the flask, enabling it to be transported to one of Sellafield's reprocessing plants.
